Playdate with Oliver

Cousin Oliver, Auntie Mimi's furry child, came over today while Mimi's house was being exterminated. Athena was so excited. Oliver maintained his composure and did quite well considering a little toddler was trying to sit on him for most of the afternoon. During his brief visit, Athena enjoyed coloring with him (he really did sit on the coloring book as she exclaimed "Oller like my pictures"), feeding him rock soup (he sniffed it with some disdain), reading him one of her favorite picture books (Goodnight Gorilla, I believe) and blowing bubbles at him (Oliver hid under the chair).

Is that your wee one on the horse?! Oh my!

You have beautiful, BEAUTIFUL girls, Julie. Just gorgeous.

I'm glad cousin Oliver was a good sport. I've met a great many cats that wouldn't be such wonderful playmates. :)

Hi Julie!!! I didn't know you blogged! I just had to comment on how beautiful your girls are and I can't believe how much they've grown! I rarely get to bbc these days but I miss you guys and think about you often! That cat is big too! I wish my cats would be a little more tolerante like him! hehehe

Kyla! Thank you! Yep that's my 10 month old. You can't see it in the photo but my sister is six inches away about to catch her if she falls. Zoe is my big girl, the size of an 18-month old but without the motor skills!

And, yes, Oliver is a very tolerant kitty, our kitties were not so tolerant and (sadly) had to find another home :( I offered to take him permanently as he is sooo good with children (and Athena would love it!) but my sister isn't giving him up.

Hi Junie! I'm new to the blogging world but (strangely) it makes me really happy. It's my way of keeping in touch with far away family and friends. So good to "see" you here!!!!!!!
