Today, after dressing in our favorite accessories, I took the girls to a local, popular kids place that is even more intense than Chuck E Cheese.
Just imagine Chuck's plus indoor merry go rounds, bumper cars and go-karts. The girls, of course, loved it but were spinning in circles from over-stimulation by the time we were ready to go.
Chris was working so it was just me trying to keep up with these two who have recently started to run in different directions at the same time. Regardless, we had a blast riding the appropriate rides for little ones (no bumper cars), shooting skeet ball, playing games and eating junk. My camera battery died so I didn't get any photos. When we were on our last few tokens, Zoe asked to play a game that looked like the big wheel from the Price is Right. She barely had the strength to push the lever that activates the wheel, but she eventually managed, and wouldn't you know it...hit the 500 ticket mark while the bonus light was flashing which doubled her take to 1000 tickets. Go Zoe.
It took forever for the machine to pump 1,000 tickets out and after Zoe ran away from me twice we finally just left the remaining 150 or so for the boys watching us with wide, amazed eyes.
Selecting the prizes had to be fair and each got a rubber ball, a sticker kit and a jump rope. The jump rope was a bad idea - as Chris says never buy any toy that would not be allowed in a prison cell. Almost immediately they were turned into weapons. With strict adherence to the rules, they were allowed to try them out on the lawn when Daddy came home.
The spastic jumping that followed was priceless. Not exactly coordinated but they were really trying.

Yes. Chris would know which ordinary household items icluding toys can be manipulated into weapons - it's the story of my life age 3-6 or so. You wouldn't believe he actually totured me with a blanket!? Now I am glad to hear he is using those powers for good . . .
Was it Incredible Pizza? We have one of those here and we can't stand it. Makes Chuck E. Cheese look like a quiet evening at home. LOL. The first time we went, K freaked out, total sensory overload, so she hasn't been back...but we've gone with BubTar a few times and he has fun. We feel like we need a stiff drink, though. Hahaha!
Yes! It was Incredible Pizza...I think we will wait a few years before we go again.
Sounds like a lot of fun! I like Chris' rule ... haven't heard that before. Great pictures too!
"the boys watching us with wide, amazed eyes." I have a feeling this isn't the last time I'll hear those words. lol glad you had fun! I wanna go. :D
You crack me up! I am rooting for you to write a book ... I'd buy it!!
Oh my ... jump ropes (shudder, shudder). Wait til you see what happens with kite string (Good Grief). I did not know it can cut off circulation if pulled too tight - purple fingers are scary! AND it took a long time to cut all the string knots off bedroom furniture!!
I should have known when all became quiet in the house.
Happy you on the house hunter : )
I love the huge kitchen (lots of fun family gatherings waiting to happen). Can't wait to see how you decide to decorate
Guess who is almost as tall as me - my little Brett. They grow up too fast (WAH!!!!)
Take care of the baby, the little ones, hubby and of course you.
Hee Hee too cute. And here I was thinking that it was only boys that would turn everyday objects into weapons. I thought it would be smooth sailing with Adalynn after having 2 boys. You burst my bubble!
