The Little House on the Hill

We are whiling away our days at Yiayia's house. It feels very much like summer vacation, lazy mornings, fun-filled afternoons and no set schedule. Bathing is optional (who needs baths when you've been swimming all day) and bedtime is just a suggestion.
There is plenty of time for exploring. The girls like all the pretty wild flowers growing along the drive way, and the multitude of interesting rocks and bugs and lush grasses they are not used to in our dry town.
And the horses who live across the street love apples.

The Dude prefers to hang back and explore Yiayia's backyard

and perfect his t-ball swing.
It seems as if time stands still at Yiayia's house. Nothing is moved or thrown away and the same toys that Athena played with are trotted out for John Patrick. This apothocary box in Yiayia's living room has provided endless entertainment for all three of my children (there are still little lost treasures in some of the boxes).
The days are hot and humid, a combination we are not used too, but we've found relief in friends swimming pools and somedays it rains.
I've taken about 800 pictures of pratically every moment.

This week is flying by, we've only just gotten here and now its time to leave. There so much more to do and I'm just not ready to go.
*P.S. We extended our trip one more week!

Whoa...the girls are almost the same height?!?!

Such great pictures. I know you have a new camera but you've always had some natural talent when it comes to composing great shots.

Love the pics!! Especially the one of JP's feet!

Zoe suddenly seems much older!

Hot and humid is the worst...it is what we have here. Days that are 115 when you count heat index. Blech!!

How lucky the children are to be able to see such different places, and experience the diversity. Hopefully we can add KY soon.

Glad you are having fun with the new camera!!

Here packing up to leave......sigh
