What is so funny?

Do you see anything particularly funny about this? Because John Patrick thinks it's hi-LAR-ious. Every time he lays on the couch or on our laps and catches sight of it, he coos and giggles and squeals with delight. I've laid on the couch in the exact position he usually is in and don't find it particularly entertaining. I must be missing something.
